Plain Gist does not currently provide reader accounts, comments, uploads, purchases, or an email signup form. It does not build reader profiles or place its own advertising cookies.
The hosting and network providers that deliver the site may process technical request information such as IP address, device or browser data, timestamps, and security logs as part of operating and protecting the service.
A commercial click is recorded without a reader identity.
Clearly labeled affiliate links use a first-party redirect so Plain Gist can count the click before sending the reader to the vendor. The internal event contains a random click ID, time, offer, originating Plain Gist page, destination domain, and campaign label. It does not contain a name, email address, account ID, IP address, full referrer, user-agent string, or advertising identifier.
The vendor or its affiliate network may separately use cookies or other attribution methods after the redirect under its own privacy policy. Plain Gist uses its internal count for editorial and business analysis; the merchant's reporting remains the authority for attributed conversions and commissions.
Other sites have their own policies.
Links may take you to software vendors, government guidance, and other external sources. Those services control their own cookies, analytics, accounts, and transactions. Review their policies before providing personal or payment information.
Material new collection requires a policy update.
If newsletter signup, contact forms, advertising, reader accounts, or broader analytics are added, this page will be updated before or when the feature becomes active. The effective date will change and any legally required choices will be presented to readers.
Questions and requests.
A brand contact address for privacy questions will be published when the business email is configured. Until then, the site intentionally avoids features that ask readers to submit personal information directly to Plain Gist.
